HeadsUp October Newsletter!

As we're all settling into the school year, it has been so great to join the festivities at some of the sites and engage with our School Community in joyful and meaningful ways.  We had the opportunity to table at Back to School Night for San Rafael High as well as join San Pedro Elementary for their Noche de Cultura.  

We would love to visit, participate, be present and support all of our sites this year and continue building community district wide! Please reach out if you'd like us to join an event, a PTO/A meeting, a coffee chat/charla, or have another creative idea for the Foundation to engage with your sites and your families.

Through the end of October, a donation of ANY amount to the Foundation's Annual Give Campaign, will count towards your school's participation. The Elementary School with the highest percentage participation will win a popsicle party for their ENTIRE school!! THANK YOU to everyone who was able to attend the Sip and Shop Fundraiser at North and Golden Boutique.  We raised over $1100 and just as important, had the opportunity to spark meaningful conversations about the Foundation's programs with attendees from across our District! 

Led by Schools Rule - Marin Executive Director, Melinda MacKaben, we had a wonderful opportunity to highlight the incredible spaces and services being delivered at both San Rafael and Terra Linda's wellness centers.  An enthusiastic and inquisitive group of community partners, donors, HeadsUp Foundation leaders and district administrators had the chance to tour both Centers and learn about the essential and deeply impactful work that is happening everyday at our Wellness Centers.  A huge thank you to Wellness Coordinators Judy Schwerin (at San Rafael High School), Nicole Janson (at Terra Linda High School) and the entire team for your dedication and commitment to the wellbeing of every student.  Mental Health and Wellness is a funding priority for the HeadsUp Foundation and we are proud to support these programs.
