About Us

San Pedro Elementary School is located east of downtown San Rafael. It serves the communities east of Highway 101 and the area south of the San Rafael Canal. The staff of San Pedro School is dedicated to meeting the needs of the school's many English language learners and helping them achieve high academic goals.  San Pedro is dedicated to educating each child in a safe, enriching environment with the highest standards of academic excellence.

San Pedro is one of seven elementary schools in San Rafael City Schools, which also consists of a middle school, two comprehensive high schools and a continuation high school. Grounded in our vision for student success, we undertook an extensive journey with our community to develop our strategic plan - Together 2024. It describes our District values of equity, community and joy, as well as our culture, goals and strategic actions. The District's Graduate Profile articulates the skills needed to succeed in this rapidly changing world, and we committed to developing these skills so every student graduates ready to pursue their goals.
