Amazing Words

Native Plants:  Plants that were natural to the area before people developed the area.

Non Native Plants:  Plants that people have brought from other places in the country or world.  These plants may have been brought on purpose or by accident with seeds being attached to things the people brought.

Invasive Plants:  These are non native plants that grow really well in a new place, but then take over an ecosystem by crowding out native species.

Noxious Plants:  These plants are invasive and bad for the environment where they are growing.
